"This morning Phillips Fitzpatrick, stuck a fork in the thigh of servant Jerry, hired at the steward’s house, during breakfast. Mr Richardson (tutor) who has the servt under his protection sent for Fitz who did not appears to be in a very good humor – and did not give Mr. Richardson much satisfaction. I sent for Fitz on Friday morning – he talked to me very appropriately – I advised him to get out of this difficulty the easiest and quickest way he can – fined him $3.00"
