"Feb. 3-
Peter Pratt (col'd) states that friday Feb 1st his son Peter had an affray with Willie Fiquet who struck him (Peter) first about a girl wasting water and the two then exchanged blows and Willie struck Peter with a stick Peter then left and went home. [word illegible] Feb 3rd he returned to Mr Fiquets for his clothes when Charley Fiquet led him from the kitchen to the stable and gave him a beating with a stick - witness Jim [Knuckles] Peter Balth, Bill Neal, and Henry McGuire"
