The old mid-wife, Nelly, did not arrive till some time after the birth of the child."

The young girl, Kitty, (non compos) after successive fits of more than usual severity, died, Sat. Morn: May 9th/63 - She was born Mar. 20/50. Charles had her decently buried, on Sunday afternoon; service performed in the basement of the Meth Epis Church, by one of their colored men. - She had been subject to fits, from a very early age, owing to a fall she had, by the carelessness of a little turn - striking her head on the floor."
